After saving Xandar from Ronan's wrath, the Guardians are now recognized as heroes. Now the team must help their leader Star Lord (Chris Pratt) uncover the truth behind his true heritage. Along the way, old foes turn to allies and betrayal is blooming. And the Guardians find that they are up against a devastating new menace who is out to rule the galaxy.
KILL SWITCH
Sometime in the near future, physicist and former NASA pilot Will Porter is recruited by Alterplex, a power company that has built a massive tower that taps into unlimited quantum energy. When strange anomalies occur around the world that are blamed on the tower, it is revealed that it is destroying a mirror universe Earth referred to as "The Echo" and that the inhabitants there also have an energy tower. Porter is sent to The Echo with a device called the "Redivider" believing it will balance the power transfer between the two universes and set things right. Instead he learns the device is a kill switch that will destroy The Echo forcing him to decide which universe to sacrifice in order to save the other.

SHOWING ROOTS
'Showing Roots' takes place in 1977 during the premiere of the miniseries Roots. Set in a small southern town where there definitely are still 'right' and 'wrong' sides of the tracks, two young women - one white, one black - forge an unlikely friendship that sparks a journey of independence, self-discovery, and ultimately results in the discovery of the perfect hairdo.
